If you've been curious, or even frightened by firearms and want to overcome that now, I encourage you to take our half-day course on safe pistol handling in Los Angeles.
We have very patient, supportive, well seasoned professional instructors to walk you, step by step, through the process of safe, accurate shooting. We even make it fun! Our program is about shooting as a sport and hobby and about empowerment and overcoming fear and misunderstandings.
This is not boot camp, but an opportunity to learn a fun, new sport, together
or even overcome past practices.
And we do it on our exclusive, private range.

Our founder, Dutch Merrick has been a competitive shooter, Motion Picture Studio Armorer and a TA at the world-renowned Esalen Institute in Big Sur.

Over 8 hands-on hours, you'll learn safe handling, prop gun protocols, chain of custody, and the real-world lessons behind the industry's most devastating tragedies — knowledge that exists so they never happen again. Taught by Dutch Merrick, past President of IATSE Local 44 and the industry's most-interviewed expert on set safety.
